Greek life at western isn’t as big as some of the larger schools in North Carolina however still quite prevalent in the wcu social seen. After losing the biggest sorority on campus last year for now Greek life does feel a little male heavy. Most big parties are hosted by fraternities and the tailgate seen which is a big deal at western is entirely run by fraternities and sororities. Overall rushing at western is a great way to get involved and make friends!!

it is alright, it could be better. IFC needs to change the rule about not letting first semester freshman not being eligible to rush

Compared to UNC, ECU, and NCSU the greek life is not something to rave about. Sure, there are groups for you to make lifelong friends there. There are groups to get involved in, although not not super involved on campus. The school is small compared to others so that is a noticeable factor. There isn't even a formal rush. Both fall and spring are informal where usually at other schools there is a formal fall rush. In Western's own way I guess the greek life is OK. When it is compared to other schools it misses the mark. I hope that Western's greek life evolves into something better, but as of now that's only something that time can tell.
