Contacting sorority girls at different schools?

Is it weird to randomly contact a girl in your sorority at a different school if you haven't ever talked to them or it's been many years since you have?

It depends on what you are reaching out for I guess! If it’s someone you don’t know it’s probably better to have some sort of reason to reach out then to just be like “omg we’re sisters!” If it’s someone you know from the past I think it’s perfectly reasonable to reach out if you ended up in the same sorority ‘cause that’s a cool coincidence.
