sororities with lower costs

by: Quizzical

So I wanted to join a sorority this fall but I'm not sure if I can afford it or not. What sororities have you heard that are some of the cheaper chapters to join? Are there any that have annual fees that are below $6,000?

You will be able to keep the cost below 6 grand for any sorority as long as you aren't living in!

I'd say roughly around $3000 for the entire first year and that includes new member fees and stuff. And then after that it gets cut in half. But all the sororities are more than willing to work with you and make a payment plan!

I wouldn't join if you can't fulfill financial commitments. Make sure you sit down and go over all of these with your parents and figure out a plan and see if it works. Sororities do make payment plans, but you need to speak with them early on. They all need $ to function like any business.

In think by Business, the poster meant paying rent for living in- you'd get kicked out of an appartment if you couldn't pay rent too. The other fees are associated with keeping the house running smoothly- updates, social funds, international dues. It would be absolute chaos of women weren't held accountable to pay their dues.
