Anyone hear about the new Homeless encampment?

apparently theres rumors a new housing complex/encampment is going up for homeless near greek row. alrdy see many on the ave often.

is UW or Seattle going to do anything? i feel like they dont care about the greek sys

SPD doesn't really care about anyone as far as the homelessness problem goes. unless you're actively getting stabbed they won't really do anything cause even if it's annoying af they aren't actually harming anyone 🤷‍♀️

yah there was an article about it on the daily earlier this yr.

im just fearful it will get worse, more homeless moving in 2 the area will make recruiting problems worse tbh.

like i toured greek row in UCSD,Cal Poly SLO, UT and u realize how dangerous it is here.

Yep. Know someone who went to mich undergrad and is now at UW for grad school and all she can say abt UW is how unsafe it is, how unsafe seattle is compared to UM, how unsafe she feels on public transport, how scary it is to be out at night when it wasnt at UM
