Alpha Chi Omega - ΑΧΩ Sorority Ratings at UTA

I was planning on rushing in the fall and AXO was one of my top choices... however... after talking to them at events and seeing them on campus I realized this group of girls is just not for me. They are so rude and always talk poorly about the other sororities. They told me if I got Zeta or DZ to just drop out of recruitment and try to rush again next fall. I really thought this group of girls were so sweet but after hearing them negatively talk about the other sororities I knew I didn't want to be a part of this organization.

Not in a sorority, but if I were this would be my top pick! Several friends are members and they love it. They are always supportive of each other that I’ve seen and are fun to be around. I wish they weren’t so expensive to join.

This is the classiest sorority on the campus. If you want to get the rep of bring a party girl, go Tri-Del. But if you want to work in the community to fight domestic violence against women, then go Alpha Chi. These young women are the smartest ladies on campus. They encourage each other and truly enjoy being together. I am not a Greek girl, but sit in classes with many sorority girls and I believe Alpha Chi has the best members. They are more than willing to help if you need it and they seem to really enjoy their sisters.

Rushing this sorority was a horrible experience!!

These girls were so sweet during recruitment week! They definitely love their philanthropy and their sisters!!!

This chapter is such a joke. I went to rush week and met them... and dropped them as my least favorite that night. They'e very strange and fake. Such a judgmental chapter who acts like they support their philanthropy and like they support other women... what a joke. They take a large chunk out of their philanthropy money they've earned and use it for private expenses. As for girls supporting girls, they were the most judgmental ones during the rush week process. They act like they're better than you, all while standing/sitting just a little too close for comfort. Like, seriously. They get all up in your face and make the creepiest eye contact ever. I don't know if they train the girls to do that during their work week, but I was SOOO uncomfortable in their room that they had set up in the UC. It was so awful sitting in a odd smelling room for an hour talking to a girl while she's standing so close that her breath is intermingling with yours. Oh, and the 'speed-dating' ; activity that they did for Sisterhood round was really disorganized and awkward. Try harder. (p.s., there's always next year for a good pledge class!)

I found the fall rush to be quite soul crushing to the girls who felt they clicked, who walked away from the parties feeling at home only to be cut. I know one student who was cut who cried two hours because she thought they wanted her...fyi don't ask them to follow you on social media during recruitment. It creates a false hope.
