rush as second year

I'm thinking about rushing again as a second year. I rushed last year and it didn't work out, but I definitely am going in with a new mindset. Are there certain sororities that don't take second years at all or are known for taking second years? Does having a lot of friends in one sorority affect your chances of getting in?
