Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority Ratings at UNR

I feel bad but seriously no one likes this chapter. Because literally anyone who breathes can get in. They have no exclusivity at all because no one wants to associate with this group. Frats never do socials with them and neither do the other sororities. They are the forgotten sorority on campus that no one likes or doesn’t know them. If they want girls to actually be in their “sisterhood” they need to actually put the effort in to make one. There always seems to be cliques and not a real sisterhood in this sorority. I’d recommend joining literally any other Panhellenic sorority on campus cause this one doesn’t cut it.

I used to be a member of this sorority. I’m not going to try and make this review sound mean, I’m just going to tell the truth of what I experienced. When I first joined this sorority I was so excited and loved everything about it. I thought I had a real sisterhood and lifelong friends. After a while, all of the good feelings I felt went away. I started to have doubts about finances and housing and wanted to talk to some of the officers about it. I reached out to multiple people and got no responses. I felt isolated and realized that none of these women really were my “sisters”. I even had doubts about my big. I’m not trying to hate on her because I really liked her at first, but she would barely talk to me or reply to my messages. I felt no support from anyone in the chapter and felt there was no point in staying. I decided I needed to drop. The chapter made it very hard for me to drop. They wanted to drag it out for several months and make me pay while I was trying to drop. I was terrified that they weren’t going to let me leave and it caused me so much stress. I had to go to extreme lengths just to be able to leave an organization that should be voluntary. After I dropped, my former sisters stopped talking to me (including my big). I maybe talk to 2 of them now. It honestly breaks my heart because I thought these women would be by my side no matter what. Sisters are supposed to be forever, but these women will only be sisters as long as you’re in their organization paying money. Although I wish things didn’t turn out the way they did, at least I was able to learn who my true friends are. I’m not saying you can’t make friends in a sorority. I met one of my best friends in this sorority who actually dropped before me. All I’m saying is it’s not what you think it is. Unfortunately, sororities in general are very fake and you have to be careful who you trust in them. Everyone has to make their own decision of course, but I wouldn’t recommend joining this sorority or really any sororities in general. They’ll end up costing you time and money only for fake friends in return.

I’ve never even heard of this sorority and I’m a senior. Alpha what? Do they even go here? Zero points for popularity smh.

The reason I said they’re known for being “smart” is because they’re very sneaky and good at tricking people. I’m crying as I’m writing this because of what they’ve done to me🥺

I have some friends who have been bullied by some of the girls in this sorority and it makes me sad that people can be so mean. Please be nicer:(

I’ve heard a lot about this sorority in the years that I’ve been a student at UNR. I personally choose not to affiliate with this sorority or any of its members due to things I’ve heard. You can choose to believe me or not but I’m warning you, you will regret being apart of this organization.

I've been seeing a lot of bad reviews for this sorority lately and I can understand why. Everything that is said about them is said for a reason. Proceed with caution.

It makes me sad to think of how many women have gotten trapped into this organization. They could really do a lot to improve this sorority, but instead they treat their members like trash. Whatever you do stay away from this sorority.

To those who may want to join this sorority. I must warn you they have a reputation on campus that negative. When people hear you’re an AOII they think negatively about you. You’ll have a reputation that isn’t classy or will help you in any way.

I have had some very bad personal experiences with the members of this sorority. It is very sad to me because I have met members of this sorority from other college campuses that are much nicer. Maybe it's just the one at UNR??
