Certainly a top 5 fraternity at umass, but far behind theta and pike for sure. Brothers are really geedy when compared to other houses and some of the brothers are straight up weird. Great for someone looking to fit in somewhere but does not give off a genuine Greek feel.

Whoever that "Harambe" impersonator is totally misrepresented my opinions. I have been honored by this fraternities regular Harambe chants and I find their ability to keep Saturday for the boys admirable to say the least. Looking out for you all in the zoo exhibit from the sky. - Harambe

NEW ON GREEKRANK

Definitely behind Theta and Pike but they have solidified themselves as a top 3 house at UMass. Great group of younger brothers combined with the graduation of some older strange brothers has set them up well. Throws the biggest parties which often become a little too crammed. Very involved philanthropically but should focus on better sorority relations

Being a top tier fraternity, you could deff see a clear difference between them and their neighbor theta chi. With that being said I always got the vibe that phi sig was kinda where u pledged if u didn't get a bid from theta, but thats just from what I've seen with guys I know who rushed. Their parties are fun but the crowd is pretty subpar and they don't put a lot of effort into themes. If you want to be #1 put more effort into recruitment and recruit more guys that will run parties

Phi Sigs are the definition of kids who weren't popular or cool in high school whom now try to be in college. So yea if you are thinking of pledging and you consider yourself to be a social awkward squid looking to pay money to join more of yourselves, then go right ahead. I'm sure you'll love it to be completely honest. While phi sig has growth and popularity potential and throws good parties.... It is not top tier. if your looking for a top tier fraternity, Rush theta chi or Pike.

Solid group of kind gentlemen. Should try to make it more exclusive though, too many screaming GDIs there every weekend.

Phi Sig in the not so distant past was a bottom tier fraternity at UMass. Their reputation took a hit which is still a lingering issue. But if someone is looking on Greek Rank for an honest opinion of Phi Sig here is my take. Over a hundred brothers, throws more bangers than any other house, and has a strong focus on academics. Most of the "not popular in highschool" types have either graduated or will be soon, with every new class of brothers improving on the last.
