All chapters look to find scholarly women for their new member classes. If you are passionate about engineering, be proud of who you are and be genuine to yourself!! Having a personality and unique qualities/strengths/talents are extremely important to show during recruitment!

actually, it does. a little bit. Some chapters are less likely to take engineering major because they know their GPAs will be lower. But if they really like you and think you'll be a good fit, it won't matter too much. but if theyre on the fence about you, it may affect it a little bit

sometimes dg and aphi try to take girls with easier majors because they are known for being more social and want there girls to choose the sorority events over school work

And this is simply not true. No sorority wants you to be social at the risk of your grades, even the top ones like DG/KD.

If it seems like there are less of a certain major in one sorority it may just be because of the type of girl that tends to have that major. Correlation does not imply causation. Case in point, I'm a STEM major in what's considered a "top tier" sorority.
