should I rush as a sophomore??

Should I rush as a sophomore? I have some friends at school but they don’t like going out and I kinda want to meet more girls with similar interests as me. I don’t know anyone else rushing and am nervous it’ll be all freshman? I also know some girls in sororities so I’m scared that they’ll put in a bad word? I’ve never done anything to them but I’ve had classes with them and I don’t know how they perceive me.
