post recruitment srat rankings

its been a month since formal recruitment ended and everyone's finished cobing and has their new member classes. just an observation, its so much easier this semester to get into a top house because every house needed to cob so much so there's less intense discussion on whether someone should be in a house or not because you need the numbers to pay for things.


top
kappa/pi phi: they did fine with recruitment, got the girls they wanted and maintained this spot. they were the belle of the formal recruitment, having to make heavy cuts each day.
dg: also had a really good recruitment and cob but is still second place to the tag-team of kappa and pi phi. if they want to be in that top tier they really need to wow this year, but for now they're the soft second.
aphi: didn't have a great recruitment, offered a ton of snap bids and basically had to start cob the day of pref because they didn't have enough girls come back that night.

mid
chi o/adpi: these two are basically interchangeable in the minds of the pnms, with chi o being more aware in social justice issues. both had good recruitments, competing with top houses on pref night.
sk/zta/ds: all three of these houses had good recruitment this year, and just like the above houses, many pnms had them and a top house on pref night. sk and zta also didn't seem to need to take as many cobs because formal recruitment was so successful, which is insane bc only like 300 girls actually got bids on bid day.

base
axo: solid recruitment that got them the girls they wanted with the values of the house. a beautiful house and a solid philo cause goes a long way.
theta: they had a fine recruitment, but the fact that no members were allowed to live in this semester probably hurt them. new mems are looking for some sort of in-person aspect to their their first semester as a member even if it was just meals or social distanced hang-outs.
gphi: the fact that cob was almost guaranteed because there were so few girls rushing let to a lot of drop-outs which probably hurt their numbers for each day. their membership numbers get smaller and smaller every year, who knows how much longer they'll last as a chapter at berkeley.
