Sororities calculate their average membership number each semester and that number becomes becomes campus “Total”. Total is the number that sororities can recruit up to. So if a house has less members than average/campus total, they can bid and take more girls up to the average or campus total amount. This number will be calculated a week or so after winter break. Sororities can guess, but won’t really know if and how many girls they can take. All of their nationals want them to get to total.
