how intense is life in a sorority?

How much time do you need to devote to being in a sorority? I really want to join greek life but I don't want it to consume my whole time at berkeley. Do most people have other friends and commitments that are unrelated?

Yes, the situation here with greek is very laid back compared to other places. You have meetings and meals and periodic events but our focus is always school (or almost always).
