message chapters directly to be considered for cob???
by: Hi
So I was dropped from formal recruitment.... I’m a junior transfer but I’m definitely a good asset, I just butchered the process bc I didn’t do my research.
I have an amazing resume, volunteer hours, and I am GOOD LOOKING. I think what really ruined it for me was not having any social media at the time and instead of talking about my volunteer and school/club involvement I literally said I liked to nap( dumb I know)! I thought they would be paying more attention to the application then the actual convo. ANYWAY I messed up and I really really want to be in a sorority. I wish I could redo it, but here I am.
Is it desperate to message a chapter and let them know I’m interested in joining if they have any COB or spring rush activities? I just want a second chance but I want also don’t want to join a bottom house. There has to be a way!! Helpppppp

You sound so entitled the reason you got dropped from the sororities during fall formal wasn’t because your conversation wasn’t good enough or anything it was because the sororities didn’t like you and didn’t think you would be a good fit for the house. If you are a junior and still care about rankings then clearly you aren’t mature enough to be in a house. Grow up.

Your being being good looking is not a major, nor absolute, qualification for sorority membership. Quit trying to stir-up trouble where there is none. You will never know reasons for your not being invited into sorority membership unless and until you become an initiate, and your whole attitude toward recruitment needs to change for the better. Please inquire of the greek life offices for further recruitment information.
