stop pretending

by:

how about we stop pretending that the top houses don't only choose the wealthiest, prettiest, heavy social-media follower type-girls in order to maintain their status as a top house. yes, it's true that top houses cannot possibly take all the girls who want a bid, but let's stop pretending that that's the only reason so many of these girls get cut. maybe it's just me but i really don't understand how in this day and age, some sororities will have ONLY white girls, esp if a diverse group of girls want to be in the house. tried out sorority recruitment to see what it's like, and it's been the most superficial thing i've ever experienced.

But is that type of person that constitutes a top house? Don’t top houses stop being top when everyone else agrees they aren’t top? If a house has all that type of girl... why does that equal “top”

About the only thing you said that I agree with is about social media. Other schools that run a professional recruitment require that houses and all PNMs take social media private. But not Cal. Nope no such rules here to make it an even playing field. Just another example of poor to no leadership in the management of our sorry system. We just can't get out of our own way we are so incredibly bad and managing recruitment.

This is true to a certain extent. Doesn’t make or break your chances completely imo if you’re cool you’re cool

Honestly, if you think the process for top houses are so superficial why would you even want to join one? You’d be unhappy even if you made it in. Seems like you’re too concerned about rank rather than a house you belong in.
