are there any women of color in top/mid sororities?
by: confusedI'm looking through each sorority house's instagrams and I will only see one girl of color on many mid/top house accounts, if any. Do higher ranked houses generally not accept more women of color? Maybe they just don't feature them on social media? Seems odd given that Berk is known to be a very diverse campus. And if there is a girl of color in a house, is it any harder for her to feel included?

^ agreed. girls in top houses have a toxic mindset and believe that in order to stay “top” they need to recruit 99% white girls. unfortunately the language surrounding recruitment gets twisted and you’ll hear girls say things like certain people aren’t the right “fit” or “character” or that they’d “do better in another house.” but when the outcome almost exclusively results in an all-white pledge class, it becomes clear there are both conscious and unconscious biases at work. and when this happens year over year, not being the “right fit” is reasonably translated to not being white (and rich,skinny,etc.).
houses like sk, zta, and even chi omega are now more diverse. they’re still just as fun and have lots of beautiful girls

Also I know a handful of girls of color in kappa from class and they’re never featured on their Instagram... like I haven’t seen them once. They’re all really pretty too, so I don’t get it.
