how can i have a chance?

so im a freshman and hear me out till the end please. I've never been too much of an outgoing person but im definitely not reclusive or anything and I like a good time. ive been hitting up some parties these last few days (before they're shut down at least lol) and even though I never thought I would I really like the fraternity scene. in particular I really like KA a lot, idk the guys I met there were super chill and respectful and I felt good and comfortable around them. they're definitely my top choice by far. problem is, I didn't know much about greek life before and didn't know they're like a top frat thats super hard to get into. another problem is that I don't know anyone at cal other than my building mates and just people ive recently met, and since its been only 2 days I can't rly call them more than acquaintances. I was chatting with some guys at ka along with some other rushees and a brother was telling about a party, and giving out his number, he didn't ask me directly for mine so I was the one that ended up asking him. idk I felt awkward and desperate asking him, and hope I didn't come off this way. im a bit nerdier than most other rushees but not to a degree where I stick out a lot. idk if u guys can offer some advice for me to get in. I really like the vibe and brothers of KA, and think id fit in well, but I also feel I don't stand a chance.
