online sorority application
by: curious
Do sororities prescreen sorority applicants and then act according to different information presented on applications? Is the application or the in-person interactions more important in getting called back? And how do sororities choose who to call back? I heard that some girls have more pull than other girls within sororities that can affect how the pnms are called back- isn't that kind of unfair also?
Sorry for all the questions- I'm an incoming freshman and am curious about how it works.

Every group does it differently. But, like any University or Employer, every organization has an idea about what kind of candidates they are looking for.
The way the system works, houses literally have to drop hundreds PNMs after the first day when they have only seen all 800-900 candidates for less than 1/2 hour. So expect that they are using every piece of information about you that they can find to help them make those decisions.
You can expect that they will be using as many of the following sources of background info as possible. For instance: The information that you put on your application, social media sources, input from Alumnae and any other people who may know you.
Hope this helps.
