I don't think "AS OF NOW" was saying that there is absolutely no bashing at Auburn. She is, however, pointing out that quite a few of our Panhellenic groups have decided that they will not just sit and watch it happen. We truly feel that being part of the Greek community here is something special. Many of us have taken the concept of "ALL IN" to heart. So, if you bash one of us, you bash all of us. It's simply a matter of having your sister's back when she needs you. WAR EAGLE and ALL IN!

Everyeone thinks their group is THE BEST naturally, but malicious gossip and rumors posted on a website is not the way to express those opinions in any shape, form or fashion. At Auburn, we all have our personal opinion of who we think it tops (our own groups of course!) but the greater range of the concept is that we accept and respect all of our groups on campus. I for one am ALL IN and I have no problem protecting any group that is being bashed by someone on here. That is being a part of the Greek Panhellenic and that makes this community special as noted below. I know that there are many groups that have jumped in with both feet to support out groups, if you haven't...give it a go...it's really invigorating and provides a great handshake of friendship between all the groups! All In! War Eagle!

AGREE with so much posted here recently. "Having your sister's back" and "handshakes of friendship" are great ways to describe how our groups are guarding each other against bullying on this site. I can't help but think it may really help some PNMs who might find this site to not be discouraged and drop recruitment over being cut if they see how strong and supportive all of our Panhellenic groups are across the board. ALL IN is not just a football thing. It so applies to all aspects of Greek life at Auburn. So proud of all of our groups right now.

I have visited several school pages on GR to see how my sorority is perceived at other colleges. I have to say "WOW" to what I see here. So many high scores, big approval percents, and actual kind comments from one sorority to another. It makes me a little sad that it is not this way at Miami. Not at all. Congrats to you guys.

REALLY LOVING THIS! It has reached a point recently that when any negative or bashing comment appears about any Panhellenic group hardly any time goes by before DG, DZ, Kappa, AOPi, KD, ZTA, DDD, Phi Mu or some other group (I know I'm leaving some out and I don't mean any insult. It's just so many have taken up the cause) is there to brush it aside and to build up the group that was hurt by it. What a marvelous display of Panhellenic spirit. Thanks so much ladies. I am just so proud to be a part of Greek life at Auburn. Nothing like it!

so i am considering auburn. Im from maryland, but come from a very conservative family. i have been very involved in high school and will probably end up graduating with a 3.7. I am outgoing and love meeting new people but i am nervous i wont be accepted by sororities merely because of where I am from (we do consider Maryland southern but obviously it is not the deep south). I completely understand what i would be getting myself into but I am wondering what my chances look like? I do not care about getting into a specific sorority though I have legacies at a few of them. i would be very open minded

Auburn is pretty conservative so that would be a great fit. Very friendly campus and easy to get around. Almost 1/2 the students are from out of state and not just the south. No, Maryland is not deep south ;) but don't worry, it is not so different where you will feel strange or others will think you are so different! An outgoing girl with a strong resume should do well in rush. Be sure to apply early action so you can apply for housing asap! Any recs you can get alums to write for the different sororities (especially where you are a legacy) can only add to your rush experience. Good luck and War Eagle!

thank you! i really do love the school and could see myself there. I just had worries that to get into a sorority you have to know a bunch of girls already because so many people go to the same high schools.
