by: Rushee

If I am from Out of State is it a big deal to make it down in the summer for some events? If so, its no big deal I can make it happen. just wondering

good to make it to events. Once school starts, but before formal rush starts, fraternities have parties/events that people can come too but its "better" to go to Summer events. It's nice to have a bid or two lined up before formal rush but just because you don't go to summer events doesn't mean you won't get a bid.
But, the "top tier" fraternities "fill up" fast, I think SNu had basically its whole class by late June, don't quote me on that though.

Sigma Nu recruited all the way through formal rush in August. The finished with a pledge class over 60 and gave out bids through the entire summer. No single fraternity was finished until rush was over and I do know that for a fact.

I said basically, meaning not everyone but a majority of them.
Also said don't quote me, but I've heard that from multiple people.

Absolutely come down or you will be behind; a lot of top fraternities give out most of their bids during the summer. Also, if you come for summer events, you have more time to get to know the fraternities and decide where you'll fit best.
