Rush as a sophmore

I went through recruitment last year and did not accept the bid I received. Nothing on the sorority, I just felt absolutely zero connection. I had just lost someone very close to me and had also just received a very upsetting and intense medical diagnosis. I'm sure both of those things played into my emotional state at the time. I am considering giving it another try. Will the events of last year be held against me? Looking for thoughts, good and bad......
