religion in sororities
by: 536963Hi! I really want to join a sorority at Auburn, but I know that they all have Christian ideals. I am a buddhist and I’m a little worried about facing judgment for that and not participating in activities such as bible study. Can you help me by naming the most religious and least religious sororities??

I think that calling a sorority "one of the least religious" would not go well. You can't know who is and who isn't, and Bible studies don't necessarily indicate that.
Also, the rituals of many of the groups at Auburn are Christian. If this bothers you, maybe you should pledge a service sorority.

There are non-Christians in all of the sororities and bible study is not a required activity in any of them, nor is church attendance. All sororities do have a spiritual component to their rituals, but you would find that they aren't so specific as to conflict with the tenets or ideals of other faiths. Rituals are designed to emphasize and encourage the best qualities of enlightened humans. But really you just sound like you're trolling.

Ritual is not worship or religious study. Big difference.
