poll: should sororities try to include more oos?

Okay, so if you're a hiring manager for a business and you have a choice between a great candidate with a good resume and interview but nobody knows anything else about, and another great candidate also with a good resume and interview but who people know personally or have trusted sources who can vouch for them, it is a no-brainer that you take the person you know. The other candidate would very likely be a great choice too, but you can only hire one. So, the unknown candidate will continue applying elsewhere and get an offer for an identical position at a nearby business with the same salary and perks. There is a great place for all and great people in all places.

Many sororities (about the top half if we’re looking at tiers) will pretty much only take their friends from high school. OOS girls, if they don’t know anybody, are usually cut from all those houses. So most OOS girls go to the same couple of houses and aren’t getting a chance at others even when they have the grades, involvement, etc.
