other types of sororities
by: just got accepted!I will be a freshman next year and I'm thinking about rushing a nonsocial sorority/fraternity (like I know band has a greek organization and one of my friends joined a service sorority). I heard greek life is really important at auburn and are the members of those as popular as the people in social sororities? (i knowww it's college and popular doesn't matter but I want to meet lots of people!) Thanks in advance :)

they aren't as popular. If its your thing go for it for sure, but it's certainly not the same thing. Service/professional sororities aren't really part of the Greek life equation, they are a different thing entirely, more like clubs with Greek letters. Nothing wrong with them, but letters is the only thing they share with the general social fraternities/sororities.
