Let's set this straight. There's no "official fraternity/sorority ranking". There's just different tiers/calibers. The specific order is strictly based on the preference of the individual.

Sororities are fine. Fraternities are completely inaccurate. Theta Chi and KA up. There I see no "lower top tier". Original list is way better

Worst fraternity list I've seen on here. Sororities are mostly good except bump Gamma Phi up to upper middle

How you know if it's a BS self-rank...
For fraternities: IF "top tier" is split into two tiers; IF KA is above SNu, Theta Chi, or Fiji; IF ATO is on the same level as SNu, Theta Chi, Fiji, or KA; IF Pi Kapp or Pike are anywhere in the Top 8.
For sororities: IF "top tier" is split into two tiers; IF Alpha Chi is a top tier, IF KKG or DZ are in the Top 10; IF Gamma Phi is on the same level as Pi Phi, Zeta, or Alpha Chi.
This is your generally accepted rank around Auburn. IF it varies too much from this, then it's probably a BS self-rank:
