5 tips from an alum
by: MJIt is sites like this one that just go to show the downsides of social media and the internet. Nearly every post has at least one comment that bashes a chapter or an individual. I have heard or girls making really bad choices like getting sugar daddies or eating disorders because they never feel good enough, or they feel like they need to prove themselves. Especially with fall recruitment coming up, this can cause alot of insecurity for people. So just some words of advice: 1). If you are not one of the girls that gets "shown off" so to speak during recruitment, don't let it get to you (yes, every chapter does this). It is not a measure of your value or worth as an individual. 2). If you are one of the girls that does get "shown off," remember what kendrick lamar said and be humble!! (also sit down because the heels will KILL you). You may never know the friendships you might miss out on if you are perceived as being a show off. Every year there was at least one girl that lets the attention get to her head. 3). Your grades matter much more than your instagram ever will. I promise. 4). Think twice before posting something mean on here. Even if they did something mean to you, be a bigger person and say no to negativity. 5). You are all awesome. college is so much fun. enjoy it, and dont let the little things get to you!
