to rush or not to rush?

I dropped second round during fall recruitment because I got so overwhelmed and didn't know if I could make the time commitment for a sorority. I now know I can. I don't know many girls in sororities so I'm wondering if I should even bother rushing in the spring. How important is it to know the girls in the sororities for spring rush? Should I just wait for fall?

go in spring. odds are you won't get a bid (few spots open) but it's great practice for fall. if you do get a bid then yayyyyy congrats! but don't count on it
