spring rush

by: anon

I'm a freshman and didn't rush in the fall because i wanted to get acclimated. Now I'm eager to be in a sorority after seeing everyone post about bid day and big/little reveal, socials etc. Should I go for spring rush or wait until fall? Who is even participating in spring rush this year??

So, spring rush is typically a few chapters who happen to have a few spots available. GO! Chances are, you will not receive a bid, but it's great to meet people and practice your rush conversations. If you do receive one, they give you a day or two to accept. Then you can ask around to double check that you're making the right decision. Plan on going through formal recruitment in the fall, but have fun doing spring rush as well.

Go through spring rush because you should take every chance to be Greek given how eager you are to join a sorority. I believe you'll have 24 hours to accept your bid. Good luck!

Usually you'll know in January. Sometimes a house will have a few open spots for which bids (C.O.B.) will have been given to girls they already know and therefore they won't technically participate in rush. So get out and meet sisters from a variety of houses! :-)
