A friend of mine told me that a girl she knows who she said was, "a little overweight and not very attractive" rushed as a freshman and was dropped by ZTA and KD at first. However, she went back her sophomore year with a bunch of letters of rec and ZTA gave her a bid. I'm not saying your unattractive or overweight, lol just saying it can happen to anyone. Don't lose hope!

I rushed my freshman year and dropped because I didn't find my home. I didn't get released from recruitment, but I was so overwhelmed that I just didn't think it was for me. I rushed again my sophomore year and I didn't have a problem. I am currently in house that I love so much and I can't imagine pledging anywhere else. Don't worry about it. I told them I dropped because I was overwhelmed by the process and I didn't think it was for me.

This is all good advice. Maximize your current options which would be C.O.B. and spring rush, then fall formal rush if you need to. Grab every opportunity.

Meet some girls in different houses, get those recommendation letters now, keep your grades up and look and act your best.

You sound like a solid, smart person and you will be noticed. Best wishes to you in finding your sorority home!

Continuo Open Bidding. It's not publicized but if a house has any open spots they're free to fifer bids to girls they know and who have expressed interest.

Tell the Panhellenic office that you're interested in joining and they'll work with you.

C.O.B. works quietly/under the radar but girls to get bids this way and there's nothing wrong with that.
