piercings

How big of a deal are piercings? I heard that sororities don't like to see them during rush, but I'd love the opinion of some active members. How badly would they hurt a girl's chances of getting a bid?
p.s. I'm talking about nose rings, rooks, tragus, and helix piercings btw (and no, i don't have all of these piercings but some friends do and are concerned) thanks!! :)

If it's not distracting it'll most likely be fine. Maybe a septum, Monroe, or eyebrow piercing or something out there like that might be a bit distracting to the girl rushing you but people don't really look at your ears too much when you're having a conversation haha. A lot of girls in my sorority have multiple types of ear piercings or the standard nose ring.
