trends

I've heard "be trendy" as good general outfit advice for rush, especially rounds 2 and 3. What are some good, "trendy" looks that fit under the formality/occasion of those rounds? Also are statement necklaces still in? I wore essentially a uniform in high school (very strict dress code) and workout/dance clothes now in college so I have to buy all new stuff. Need a starting point. Thanks babes.

I wouldn't get too worried about being trendy. With almost 2000 girls everyone kinda looks the same no matter what. I think trendy for recruitment mostly means you might not be wearing the traditional j crew shorts, jack Rogers type style that many girls go for. A lot of girls reject this style now because it seems too basic but honestly you can't go wrong with it and you will not be cut for looking "basic." A lot of trendier items are not conservative or practical enough for rush, however you could try to find maybe some cool patterned shorts, rompers, or a trendy bag. As far as statement necklaces go A LOT of girls wore them last year and i don't personally think they are as "in" this year but if it complements your outfit why not.
