snap bids
by: PnmWhy only KD? I thought they in the top tier? What is the deal with that? I do not think I would take one. If a house is not interested in me, why should I take a snap bid? It sounds like you are KD's 2nd choice.

Snaps don’t come until bid day and they usuallly go to girls that have dropped from rush. KD had to take a lot in pc 16. Most years there are little to no snap bids.

I don’t think so. Snap bids are pretty rare. They happen on bid day if a house doesn’t make quota

Are they doing it this year? KD and every other houses I felt like I fit into dropped me can I get a snap this weekend?

Most likely there will be none. If you were dropped it’s most likely because they didn’t think you would fit in. You should stick with it. There are no bad houses here

Look, nobody is thinking about snap bids right now because prefs aren't until tomorrow. The way snap bids work, is after prefs are over and bid matching occurs, any house that didn't make quota can snap bid up to quota. Snap bids are only given out before everyone goes to get their bids on bid day, and girls who are offered them get a phone call and if they accept they go to bid day with everyone else. Snap bids are kept on the DL; they are not publicized, there are very few if any given out from year to year, and A HOUSE THAT DROPPED YOU IS NOT GOING TO TURN AROUND AND OFFER YOU A SNAP BID. They only go to girls who dropped out or suicided, and they come from those same houses that those girls dropped. So a snap bid is NOT your second chance at a house that you liked but who dropped you. Do not count on a snap bid. If you are lucky enough to get one, take it and give that house you dropped another chance just like they are giving you.

I don't even know how to answer do they "get to see what you look like?" Snap bids go to pnm's who were in recruitment, so yeah, they already met whoever they snap bid.

From KD 3 years ago. I had dropped out of rush after round 3. The houses that I was going to Pref at did not appeal to me. I got the call from Kd on bid day. Being a KD has been a perfect match for me. I struggled with the fact I was not selected via the normal process, but I got over it. Do not count on snap bids this year. I was selected because I look like a typical KD. Pretty brunette, outgoing, genuine. A person that you would want to be friends with.

No I am not in Kd. Kd is still in the top 3. Ddd has not taken their place. Ddd still number 4, and a good house too. Kd still has so many PNM's wanting them. More so than Ddd. Ddd is not as nice as Kd sisters, snotty
