yeah I highly doubt you would get cut from every sorority- it's very unlikely that no one would give you a bid

It depends on the year. Now that there is another sorority, most likely there will be room for every PNM to get a bid. In past years some girls were not offered a bid at all, but if this was the case someone from the recruitment committee gives you a call to let you know so you don't keep showing up to events when you aren't going to get a bid (like bid night).

So in Spring 2015 I rushed and we were told in recruitment orientation is that if you do everything, like don't ditch talking to a Sorority you don't like or like not actually trying at a certain sorority, you are pretty much guaranteed a bid to 1 sorority it might not be one you wrote down. But, there is other exceptions basically if you make it to the last day and have 1 Sorority you will get a bid.

This is not true. It is very possible to get to the last day and not get a bid. In that case as the person above was saying your Rho Chi calls you to let you know so that you don't show up to bid night. This is really rare but it happens to a few girls each year

Agree. It is rare, but certainly not unheard of . If you keep an open mind and open heart, you should be fine. Also, if you get dropped by all the houses, you could pick up another house during Continues Open Bidding.

This is no longer true. Once upon a time, it was true that a PNM could get all the way to pref and still get no bid, but the RFM (invitation statistics) are set up now so that if a PNM goes to events all the way through pref night then she is absolutely guaranteed a bid to one of the houses she attends at pref. The ONLY way this is not guaranteed is if a PNM goes to two parties on pref and only puts one of those down on her bid card and that sorority does not place her high enough on their bid list to get placed with them. But if she puts down both groups, she will get a bid from one of those groups. Period.

Also, this should not be confused with "every PNM gets a bid" because of course you could go through rush and have no invitations to the 2nd or 3rd round. And there is nothing they can do about that other than call you and let you know that you haven't been invited back. But if you go all the way through to pref. you will absolutely get a bid. It is a guarantee.

It is possible to not be offered a bid, but it rarely happens. Some girls that go through recruitment sometimes decide to drop because they didn't like the pressure of it, or they didnt get a bid for the sorority they wanted
