tier system

I would actually say kappa is the most involved, most of them aren't one-dimensional at all. AGD is involved true, but sort of like a knockoff pi phi, in that they are more concerned about just being kinda weird and doing their own thing. The tier system is social life, attractiveness, and then how visible on campus.

The tier system is based on popularity. That’s not a bad or good thing. That is just what it is. Kappa and DG are top tier because their members are popular people on campus, especially with other popular guys. Also, most students at Lafayette are very involved, don’t knock Kappa as being not involved in things, that is just factually wrong. Being said involvement is not a factor in the tiers

The tier system is supposed to be based on popularity, but obviously this isn't necessarily correct because popularity is subjective. Generally, the more social/parties an organization is/has, the higher the tier. But again, this is subjective, and in many ways, superficial. Many people are interested in "top tier" organizations, however, many are not because they feel more at home with a different type of person. No organization is better than the other. They are all just different, and different people prefer different ones. Ignore tiers and find what feels right for you. Also, no one really cares about tiers after first semester of sophomore year. I have friends in all different sororities and love them all equally, regardless of the tier of their sorority of fraternity.

If campus involvement is a part of it, shouldn’t AGD be top tier because they have the highest gpa, and the girls are super involved all across campus. Likewise, I don’t know too many kappa girls involved in a lot of activities outside Greek life.
