There is a lot of difference between fraternities. Some fraternities haze badly, but most do not haze at all. There is very high involvement on campus, but some fraternities can be more difficult to get into while others are begging for membership. The experience is definitely dependent on the specific organization.

Greek life is a big part of the social scene, but the school is very focused on academics, so that's not saying a whole lot.

First of all, if you want to get hazed, it'll feel great. Rose has a 31% female population, and a 69% (nice huehuehue) population of men. If you want a good choice from both sides, go here. Swallow your pride, swallow the entire (work) load and just make sure to rush Loombdi Krai :^)

Rose-hulman is not a party school. It's a place to grind your teeth for four years until you're allowed to leave and live your life with a good job. Greek life and a social scene exists juuuuuust enough to let you keep most of your sanity.

Greek life is amazing. This is more a blackout school than a party school but I love every second of the non-work related life here. Place for everyone

8 fraternities and 3 sororities? Come on now, that's just pathetic.
