if you really really want a certain chapter it definitely wont hurt but you dont need one by any means.

Sorority rush does not matter how pretty you are, or how well you can hold a conversation (assuming you can do both to a decent level.) It matters which friend group you are in. Unfortunately, I got screwed over this rush, but I've learned to accept it and be decently happy in my sorority.
