recommendations

So i've been looking through here and people are either saying that recommendations are important, or they aren't that important. Can someone set this straight? If I didn't have any would it hurt my chances of getting a bid? because I don't know any alumnae who would be able to write one for me.

youll be fine without recommendations. EVeryone will receive a bid at Iowa as long as you go through the entire recruitment process and dont suicide bid.

recommendations can help you get your foot in the door sooner than other pnms and can maybe help you get to 2nd round but if that sorority is or isn't the right fit for you, a letter of rec isn't going to make a big difference in the long run!
