It happened to me and I just dropped that house. It's not that big of a deal, just awkward.

It happens all the time. nothing you can really do about it

Yes it absolutely happens. Everywhere. Anytime a potential new member is invited into a house, a party, tailgate, whatever it might be that is comprised of mostly active members, it's considered dirty rushing. It's not a big deal, IMO
