how many girls rush as a sophomore?
by: AnonI went through recruitment this year but did not find the right house for me. Do a lot of sophomores go back through recruitment? I met a lot through rush this year but just wondering on how many really go back through and is it harder to rush as a sophomore?

maybe you want to go informal. It's possible you'll get to know girls in the houses you didn't think were "right for you" and realize they're perfect for you! I have a friend who dropped recruitment a few years ago because she wanted to hold out for a higher tier house. She got to know girls in both houses and went with the lower tier because she realized it was the perfect fit for her. She had a great experience.

You should go for it! I re-rushed last year as a sophomore and ended up in a middle tier house surrounded by great girls. I'm so glad I gave recruitment a second shot. Take the next year to meet girls in greek life so that you have some people vouching for you next year!

That's the perfect attitude to have about rush!
And yes, I'd say if you (OP) didn't find the right house this year, informal should be better. It's much more relaxed and real personalities shine through better. That being said, I'd try to make some friends with girls already in houses this semester, so you can get a better idea of Greek Life and the general personality of each chapter for next fall. In theory, about six houses should do informal, but their number of available spots will range from one to fifteen.
Good luck!
