to all the houses that dropped me

To all the fine ladies that dropped me:
First of all, congratulations for finding girls that came off as better than me. It saddens me that I will not be a part of greek life, but I know I'm not alone. If any of you would stop for a second, you would realize that I am one of the most dedicated, loyal, hardworking girls. I volunteer at animal shelters, was a special olympics coach for two years, helped run Relay For Life at my high school, was a part of national, italian, and english honor society, graduated at the top of my class, and work a job while here at school with 20+ hours weekly. I'm the most kind, caring person that would do absolutely anything for a person in need. And since I know looks are a big part of it, I'm a beautiful girl, however this system seems to have told me otherwise. I'm not writing this to say that I'm better than anyone, but solely to say how disappointed I am in this process. So to all those houses that rejected me, thank you for allowing me to see that I am much more than what you seem to think I am.

#14by: Be honest then
How does recruitment from the side of active members work then? What system do you guys use. I got cut from all but three house after the first round and eventually did not get a bid. I have a great resume, 3.6 gpa, I'm an attractive girl what happened? I probably had 4 bad conversations. How do you guys decide who to cut, and who higher on list?
#15by: think about it.
If hundreds of beatiful girls, who were dropped wld take a lower bid, think how powerful all the chapters wld be? Nothing is wrong with any of them. A sister is a sister. We all want the same things. If the arrogance of "top" wld stop reminding them, they are lame..things wld change. I'm medium. My pick over top. Happy as a clam.

I feel for you. I really do. But guess what? You coming on here trying to tear down houses that dropped you is not going to get anyone's real sympathy. You went through recruitment. What did you expect to happen? Everyone was supposed to love you and you'd get back to all of the houses you wanted? It doesn't work that way. I was involved in 4sports in high school, was president of key club, was apart of student council, was in all of the school plays, was in NHS, and more. I went through telling all the houses that I was studying abroad in the summer, that I spend my summers on Lake Erie, and had a tumblr blog that had a famous posts, that come to find out my now little pinned it on Pinterest. Just like you OP, I got cut from basically every house. But the difference here is that I'm not going to be bitter about it. I couldn't tell you why I got cut from those houses, even after 3 years. But I'd never put shame on a house for cutting me. They have their reasons why they didn't keep you. And no. It's not all about looks, so stop right there. I've been told all of my life how beautiful I am. Just because I got cut from a house, doesn't mean I look at myself any less. They probably cut you because you either didn't hold your beauty up with confidence or you held yourself up as though you were better than the girls at those houses. And you would have received a bid if you left your options open. I did that. Yes, I didn't get my top choice, but I'm happy that I received a bid.

Were you dropped from every single house? I doubt it. So get off your high horse, you judged houses and dropped them just like other houses judged you and dropped you. You are not special or above the system. This post is one of the dumbest to ever be on this pathetic website.

Did AOPi release you? Or were you able to drop them at 11 or 7 party round? (Which would mean you had a full invite list of other sororities.)
