transferring next semester

by: hey!

Hey guys! I am transferring here next semester and I will be a junior :( but I'm going to be here for 3 years because of my program. Should I consider rushing a sorority or doing informal?

Do informal. Tell them how long you will be staying (they won't care if you're a Junior as long as you stay a member longer) But I wouldn't recommend formal as a Junior. It gets pretty cutthroat.

Best of luck!

no coming here as a transfer junior who doesnt know anyone probably wont work out well i mean yeah you could probably get a bid to somewhere if thats all you care about but lets be honest everyone wants a good house and not a lot of them do informal and even if they do u its political but good luck

Don't listen to these terrible people. You deserve to find your home too. Plenty of chapters do informal, and many take Juniors (especially Juniors that stay extra years). If you want a sisterhood, Greek Life is for you! :)

The system here is pretty ridiculous compared to most schools. Most schools have to take a certain amount of sophomores and juniors here they don't. I recommend if you want to go through Rush go through informal. Some decent houses will do it if too many girls graduate, or if girls deactivate. It's worth a shot. Also if you know girls at OSU see if their houses are giving out snap bids.
