fall rush

by: Dropped PNM

So I decided to drop from recruitment yesterday. It's not that I was a girl who was "top tier or die", I just didn't feel at home with the places that called me back. Nothing personal, I'm sure they're great, just not for me.
I would like to try and re-rush in the fall (if that's possible). What are some things I can expect?

Yes, fall is possible but if you didn't like your options during this recruitment, who do you think will be recruiting this fall? Typically, your options are limited.

Last year DDD had an informal due to a prior spring's large graduating class and this year AGD for the same reason. You had about 100 girls competing for like 10 openings. The rest of the chapters recruiting were either lower tier or a couple of other chapters with just 1-2 openings that were invite only.

Hate to say it but you probably should have finished.

expect a much more relaxed atmosphere. It's still organized and you should dress nicely but it's nowhere near as intense as formal.
Not every chapter will be holding informal so you honestly have to be much more openminded than you have to be in formal.

I did the same as you. I didn't see myself in any of the houses I had left, so I dropped. I ended up deciding to go through informal, and I love where I am now. It all works out the way it's supposed to, so if you were truly meant to be in Greek life you'll find a way, whether through informal or through formal recruitment again next year.
