Snap bids are complicated and made more complicated by zeta being here this year. Basically a few houses will be able to snap bid on bid day, in which they are able to extend bids to girls who did not make their bid list for various reasons like dropped out of recruitment, I think intentionally single preference (stop calling it suiciding, your life is not that dramatic). There is a number set for pledge class quota and every house should be taking pledge classes of that quota number. There is also a total set of how many the entire chapter is supposed to have, and if a chapter had a girl drop last semester or graduate early, they might be below total even if they hit bid quota. So they can extend snap bids on bid day. With zeta here, there is a very limited time frame to do so, because PHA wants to give zeta enough time to recruit and do their pledge process. This is a rough version and it is more complicated

that doesn't make sense..so if a girl randomly drops out of recruitment, sorority-xyz can still give them a bid?

I believe she can get a snap bid if she stops coming to rounds, but I'm not sure if she can if she officially withdraws.

But yes, in theory, if you went to one round at a house, you could get a snap bid. But ONLY from houses that have not met quota
