Greek life is the same this year
by: What ppl r sayingI think we can all agree the frats have not been the same this semester and definitely missing last year a lot more than the mess this year. Other schools are calling out greek life washed up.
Commentby: blame money
besides sig chi and being outrageously high, nobodies dues are over a grand. on average they are 300-600. we can’t afford and do all the grand stuff bama, texas, arizona do or else you have dues like where they literally get as high as 6000/semester. my friends in texas fiji pay 6800 a semester and texas sae pay 7000 and that’s WITHOUT living in the house. but their lamest party blows our best one so you win some, you lose some.

OSU has become a much nerdier school over the past decade. When you have guys that don’t wanna throw on a Tuesday, and girls that don’t wanna go on a Tuesday, it basically just becomes a 1-3 times a week kinda thing. So people don’t need to spend as much on dues since they’re throwing comparatively less with smaller crowds, compared to SEC schools where the only thing to do is get drunk at frats. we barely do stuff on the two days frats decide to do something’s. it’s like nothing besides sitting at annex’s and the occasional date party.

Other schools do themed darties with big DJs, band parties, winter/spring all greek events, etc when football isn’t going on. We’re literally the only school that doesn’t do anything like that. It’s low effort here.
