Aephi rankings....

Does anyone know why aephi is always ranked as a bottom tier sorority when the girls in it are just as stunning as those in APHI/piphi/DG?

they’re mean as hell and disrespectful to everyone. all the girls i talked to who went aephi were miserable.

have you asked any of them where they went to preference besides there? it's likely they didn't have a top tier house to go to, hence why they are then ranked where they are ranked.

add in how so many in there are there due to legacy status that drives a lot of why those who are there, are there.

It’s is insane to think the value of AEPhi is based solely on the looks of its members. Does having a few “normal” looking girls really erode the status of a sorority? This is very sad if true.

It's less about judging based off looks and more about creating a better sisterhood.

Hot girls vibe better with other hot girls. It's that simple. They look down upon girls who aren't as hot, even if they aren't intentionally doing it. It's a subconscious thing, ya know? The less attractive girls develop resentment towards the hotter girls, and the hotter girls develop resentment towards the not as attractive girls. Even if they don't realize it or say it out loud.

I know this isn't a popular opinion, but in my experience, it tends to be true. Unfortunately, these resentments and contradictions (often unspoken) create tension in the sisterhood.

Because their group of hot girls is offset by ogres. Houses like DG, for the most part, just have hot girls.

Here’s how I would put it, not just for DG or AEPhi, but every sorority. If you were to take the 95th percentile from each sorority, there isn’t much of a difference. Every house has gorgeous girls. The hottest girls at DG really aren’t anymore attractive than the hottest girls in AEPhi.

But when it comes to depth? That’s not up for debate. There is a HUGE drop-off once you go beyond that top echelon in each house. The 50th most attractive girl in DG blows away #50 in AEPhi.

I’m not sure why they get so much hate. I found them to be a nice sorority with a good sisterhood. When I went through rush they were in my top 10. I have found on this campus that people have an attitude of wanting to rank one sorority over the other. The Panhellenic experience is very cutthroat compared to other campuses. Go where your heart is, not where a house is ranked. There is nothing wrong with AEPhi.
