Quit the IFC, it sucks here
by: .I’m so confused why kicked off frats or frats constantly being investigated just don’t leave the IFC start their own organizations. SMU (The Society), Texas A&M (Boys Club, Texas Gentlemen), USC (Trojan Society (guys from top frats left and started together)), UVA (Elmo, The Hall, Serpent), and UPenn (Castle, Theos, Owls, APES (their former AEPi)) all did it and they never get investigated for anything because they aren’t associated with the college.

Sustaining without nationals is nearly impossible for a long period of time. There’s a reason why ksig is dropping numbers. Lmao

you need an insane amount of alumni support in order to be a self sustaining fraternity with no outside ties- something no osu frat has enough to sustain

That’s the point. It’s not a fraternity. It would be a non-osu affiliated organization focused on “brotherhood” but just an excuse for partying and exclusiveness like every organization listed did.

Apes has the best case scenario with strong national support but they choose to stay off campus so they never get bothered or have issues

There’s more to it than that. Pretty much every frat has a slush fund, have liq at parties, don’t have an actual guest list. The IFC here lowkey doesn’t care compared to other schools. If you’re gonna be stupid and have a RECRUITMENT event with alc (of course these PNMs will talk) then you’re basically just putting something the university can’t ignore in their hands

The IFC is probably the strictest in the nation. You just not of been here during the Melissa Shivers reign. We’re the biggest fraternal greek life in the nation so we’re watched closely and had the most mass frat kick offs compared to other colleges and you can look that up easily. Underage drinking and alcohol is the biggest reason besides hazing and endangerment so idk where you got any of that info.

Not every frat has the luxury of having nationals support off campus. Most frats get kicked off and dropped by their nationals
