Off campus frats
by: Yuh
Why do off campus frats not last after being kicked off. Ex. Phi psi and k sig are almost dead within 2 years of being kicked off, phi delt immediately vanished, old tke never made a come back.
Only frat that lived through being kicked off was old sammy and apes cuz they have nationals representation.

It all comes down to support from their nationals. If the national organization doesn’t have their back, then it’s pretty much considered illegal by them to recruit new members, as they’re not truly “members” of the organization they’re claiming to be. People can get reported for being part of these organizations, and face fines or legal consequences. Most PNMs don’t want to take that risk. Also, they miss out on a lot of other things on campus frats offer, like philanthropy events, ability to use campus resources for things like chapter, etc.

Not to mention insurance risks. Fraternities in good standing are covered for risk management by their Headquarters.
Those who have gone rogue or are not officially affiliated have NO PROTECTION.
They are personally liable to lawsuits. And let’s face it—they are risky to begin with.
