To Pnms on this site

I know pnms will start to look into this site and I want to give some rush advice as someone who just rushed. First of all rush will likely be in person this year for the first time in awhile so it’ll be bigger and more exciting. Second this site is a lot of drama so take things with a grain of salt. Don’t pay attention to rankings but if you do care know that most ranks are general and most of the time interchangeable so don’t let this dictate where you choose. You will be able to party and have fun in every house and will have events to go to. Every house has its own personality and vibe and girls recruit girls based on who fits with that. The process truly works and although it can be tough, you will end up where you’re suppose to be and have many things in common, similar interests, and similar personality traits with the girls in your chapter. Be social during rush!! Make your best effort to put yourself out there and make sure to ask questions of your own during recruitment because it shows you’re interested and engaged. I know of girls that expected to just be asked questions by the actives the whole time and ended up being dropped by houses because they didn’t engage back much. Being dropped is normal during the process and try to keep an open mind during rush. Being social and outgoing is important even beyond rush because it helps to make friends in your pc, find a big, make friends in other frats/srats, etc. As long as you make the effort to be social and attend events you will be fine. Advice that helped me is that if you’re torn abt houses, think about their philanthropy and if you care abt it or would be interested in it. Every pc has the potential for a good sisterhood but the philanthropy stays the same so if you’re really into that use that to guide you if you’re torn. Also sometimes all of this truly isn’t the best fit or a house truly isn’t the best fit and know that it is fine to drop. A lot of houses take sophomores when they rush and they do just fine making friends their second year. Hope this helps! :)
