Aopi is set to leave?
by: RumorsApparently alumni for the OSU aopi chapter got emails saying they are going to be closing their doors at the end of the semester due to extremely small numbers. Apparently they got only 4 new mems. 😬 They hope to recolonize in the future.

I agree with both of you. They didn’t have a good standing before this site, but this site can’t help.

it def doesnt help. you know how many girls I talk to who say "I dont want to be bottom tier" when they are stressing about rush? Tons. Where do they get the idea of who is bottom tier? This site. Shines a big light on it and makes girls even more hesitant to join.

this has been the rumor for yearsss. after 2019 recruitment, nationals started threatening them saying if they didn’t get more members, they would have to shut down. i hate to say it, but if this is true, i’m not surprised. i also wouldn’t be surprised if they stuck around for a little longer though.
while i’m sure this site didn’t help, it is not the sole reason they’re having issues with recruitment. if they would put more effort into recruitment, they probably would be doing better. i’m talking house decorations, outfits, working on how to have good conversations, etc.
the main reason i wanted to drop aopi from my list during recruitment was because of how horrible the convos were. i consider myself to be a good conversationalist, but it was like pulling teeth to get a convo flowing at aopi. never had that issue anywhere else except dg lol

I doubt this affected it that much. They have struggled as a sorority from the very beginning. Well before this site or even the internet took off.
