sorority housing

by: newmember

Does anyone know if it is possible to move into a sorority house at the beginning of the spring semester if you become a member through informal recruitment? Are there open rooms available in January? I'm living in an apartment next year but I was wondering if I would be able to move into the house if I do informal recruitment in the fall.

It would definitely depend on the sorority. It’s something worth asking about during recruitment. My sorority usually fills the house up before the school year starts, so we wouldn’t be able to take in any new members. Other might be different though

Sometimes a spot in a house opens up if a girl studies abroad second semester or does an internship or something like that. Usually houses fill up at the beginning, but it's worth investigating

Our house also ends up with girls trying to sublease to other sisters because girls study abroad, do co ops, or intern.
